Meet Dr. Sara Roberts, PT, DPT, cert DN

Dr. Sara Roberts, PT, DPT, Cert. DN, is the owner of Carolina Elite Physical Therapy. She has been a physical therapist for 19 years. Sara is certified in dry needling and vestibular rehabilitation, and has extensive training in Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization (IASTM), kinesiotaping, and pelvic floor physical therapy through the Herman & Wallace Institute.
Sara was a competitive gymnast from age 8 through 21 and brings a unique specialty in treating gymnasts, focusing on injury recovery, injury prevention, and technique. She is also passionate about working with individuals of all ages, meeting each person where they are and helping them achieve their goals.
Sara earned her Bachelor of Science in Psychology from UNC–Chapel Hill in 2004 and her Doctor of Physical Therapy from Elon University in 2007.
Sara is married to her husband, Paul, and together they have two children. As a family, they enjoy cheering on the Tar Heels.
Meet Dr. Lindsay Hren, PT, DPT, OCS, CSCS

Dr. Lindsay Hren, PT, DPT, OCS is a dedicated physical therapist with four years of experience treating patients in outpatient orthopedic and aquatic settings. She is a board-certified Orthopedic Clinical Specialist (OCS), a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS), and certified in dry needling.
Lindsay earned her Bachelor of Science in Nutrition Science from North Carolina State University in 2019 and her Doctor of Physical Therapy from UNC–Chapel Hill in 2022. She went on to complete UNC’s Orthopedic Physical Therapy Residency in 2023, further advancing her expertise in orthopedic care.
Originally from Colorado, Lindsay moved to North Carolina to compete as a Division I swimmer at NC State University. Since then, she has made the Triangle her home and enjoys exploring the area with her husband, Derek.
Lindsay has a special interest in working with swimmers and enjoys treating a wide variety of patients across all ages and activity levels. She is passionate about helping each individual achieve their goals and return to the activities they love.
Meet Dr. Kate Krier, PT, DPT, cert DN

Dr. Kate Krier PT, DPT, cert DN is one of our physical therapists at Carolina Elite Physical Therapy. Kate has been practicing in outpatient orthopedics for 5 years. Dr. Kate is certified dry needling, as well as Herman and Wallace pelvic floor certified.
She treats a wide variety of women’s health conditions including dyspareunia, urinary incontinence, prenatal and postpartum care. Kate has a special interest in postpartum return to activity without limitations. Additionally, Kate works with youth athletes, focusing on field and court sports, and adults of all activity levels.
Kate studied Psychology and Neuroscience at the University of Connecticut graduating in 2017. Following earning her Bachelors of Science, Kate moved to Northern Virginia to earn her Doctor of Physical Therapy from Marymount University in 2021, relocating to the triangle following!
Kate grew up in New Jersey with her three older brothers and many family dogs. Growing up, Kate participated in multiple field sports including soccer and field hockey.
In her free time Kate enjoys spending time with her family and two golden retrievers. She participates in sports leagues including field hockey and softball. Kate is also an avid baker and is actively learning the craft of sourdough!
